SCHOOL COUNCIL

WHO ARE WE AND WHAT DO WE DO?

The school council is a representative group of pupils elected by their peers to discuss matters about their education and raise concerns with the senior managers and governors of the school.

The council has a say about decisions, and play an active role in making their school a better place. These are the main functions of a school council.

  • To be the voice of their peers.
  • To ensure that the pupils play a vital role in improving the school to allow them to have ownership over their place of learning.
  • To put forward suggestions to improve the school.
  • To organise fund raining events for the pupils
  • To represent the school publicly if required.
  • To meet with governors or any other stakeholders to discuss specific matters.
  • To be good role models to their peers.
