SCHOOL COUNCIL
WHO ARE WE AND WHAT DO WE DO?
The school council is a representative group of pupils elected by their peers to discuss matters about their education and raise concerns with the senior managers and governors of the school.
The council has a say about decisions, and play an active role in making their school a better place. These are the main functions of a school council.
- To be the voice of their peers.
- To ensure that the pupils play a vital role in improving the school to allow them to have ownership over their place of learning.
- To put forward suggestions to improve the school.
- To organise fund raining events for the pupils
- To represent the school publicly if required.
- To meet with governors or any other stakeholders to discuss specific matters.
- To be good role models to their peers.
