We take pride in our Healthy School status here at Ysgol Penygroes and are pleased to have achieved all six phases of the Carmarthenshire Healthy Schools scheme.
Our aim here at the School is to help children to grow to be healthy, safe and responsible and become active citizens of our community and wider world.
We are proud of our whole school ethos to the project which is supported by an active School council and the Well-being Lions. Together we can ensure that our children and staff foster a positive attitude towards life.
There are seven different health topics that we as a school address. These include:

Healthy Lunchboxes
As a school we encourage families to send their children in with a healthy lunchbox. Children are encouraged to drink water, and we do not permit the consumption of squash and fizzy drinks. Please see below tips on creating a healthy packed lunch.
